Drum Orpheum Rehearsal Hall is an all-ages venue (unless otherwise stated). The facility is also a "listening" room, so please refrain from having conversations during the artist's performance. Video recording and photography IS allowed, share the experience with all.

Week 6: A Mindful Holiday Wrap-Up

Close out the Let’s Get Mindful series this year with an evening of kindness, creativity, and calm before the holiday rush.

Whether you're in the mood to make heartfelt holiday cards for local care home residents, or you just need a peaceful space to wrap a few gifts, this night is all about slowing down and sharing the season with intention.

-Make holiday cards for local seniors

-Wrap your own gifts in a cozy, social setting (bring your gifts & wrapping paper. We’ll have other supplies)

-We’ll gather at the Garage on King where you can also grab a bite from one of the delicious food vendors!

Bring a friend or come solo. There’s space for everyone to relax, reflect, and give a little love to the community.

Week 5: Creative Reset – Make Your Own Gratitude Jar

Slow down, reflect, and savor the seasonal calm with a mindful craft night in downtown Martinsburg.

We’re making gratitude jars, a simple, creative way to notice the good around us. Bring your own jar (mason jar, jam jar, whatever you have!), and we’ll provide everything else to help you decorate and fill it with notes of thanks and intention!

Special guest: Bo Bowman, MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) Leader and owner of Studio 214, will guide us in a reflection on gratitude, not just as a feeling, but as something you can sense in your body. Explore how gratitude warms the heart, softens the chest, or lifts a smile, and learn a little about the science behind this powerful practice.

Grab a bite from one of the delicious food vendors at The Garage on King before we begin and settle in for this gentle reset just ahead of Thanksgiving.

Week 4: Blind Date with a Book: Community Book Swap

Bring a book, take a book.. with a twist. Wrap it up and write a short teaser on the front (a blurb, teaser quote, or mystery line), then choose a surprise read to take home!

No need to buy a new one! Just bring something you’ve loved and are ready to share. Wrap it in anything (kraft paper, newspaper, gift wrap, fabric- the more mysterious the better)

We’ll also have bookish conversation starters and space to chat, browse, and connect with fellow story-lovers.

Week 3: Guided Journaling Hour with Holy IntentionS
Ease into midweek reflection with an hour of gentle guided journaling. No experience needed, just bring a notebook and an open heart.
This calming session will be led by local yogi, owner of Holy IntentionS, and author, Sunita, who will offer grounding prompts to help you reset, reflect, and reconnect. Whether you’re brand new to journaling or it’s part of your routine, this hour is all about showing up for yourself. No pressure, no judgment.

Week 2: Paint a Pumpkin, Set an Intention
This Wednesday, we're adding a little mindful magic to your week with mini pumpkin painting and intention setting in downtown Martinsburg.
Use paint pens and acrylics to decorate your pumpkin with fall colors, symbols, or mantras like rest, release, or renew. Enjoy a relaxing night to get creative, connect, and reflect as we ease our way into November. You’ll leave with a little art and a message to carry into the season.
