Restorative Yoga & Guided Meditation, 90 Minutes
This event is perfect if you are a busy, stressed, creative professional, who has trouble unwinding and taking the time to relax. This 90-minute session consists of gentle movement practice and guided relaxation to re-energize, restore and promote your self-healing and rebalance your general wellbeing.
What is Restorative Yoga? Restorative entails laying in simple relaxing supported positions, customized for your comfort. By ensuring your adequate support in each of these positions, your body is better able to fully release held muscles, stimulating a relaxation response in the nervous system.
What to bring, wear, and expect? Dress comfortably in socks and comfy cozy layers that allow movement. Bring your yoga mat, and any props you would like to incorporate; yoga blocks, blanket, & bolsters will be provided. Expect some grounded breathing, light yoga movement and simple relaxing supported positions, customized for your comfort. It's not your typical trivia. Come out and see what we are talking about.

IN HOUSE RULES....
**no more than 3 players on a team 
**no cellphones allowed during game time 
**no yelling out any answers (right/wrong)
**each week will be a different theme (you will not know the theme until right before the game begins)
**questions will be read out loud and repeated as needed
**after each round the taliation will occur to see who is in the lead.
**there will be 6 rounds with 8 questions in each round. Also, a chance for bonus questions to be asked.
**if you leave your chair during the round you may not return until the round is over
**one team will win each month....if there is a tie then there will be a tie breaker question until 1 team wins
**the monthly winning team will receive a choice of one of many prizes that will be available. After opening the gift you can decide to keep it OR trade it for another gift (only can be traded once)

Caleb Michael Gordon is a Northern Virginia Based Jazz Guitarist drawing influence from greats such as Barney Kessel, Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, and many others. He enjoys the art form, for the challenges in the sonic painting involved with composing something that can’t truly reach the listener!

The Quentin Walston Trio presents a fun, high-energy take on the jazz piano trio. Blending the styles masters like Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington with the modern compositional styles of artists like Jason Moran and The Bad Plus, the trio creates music that honors jazz tradition while pushing it forward. Pianist and composer Quentin Walston (who has been featured on NPR, PBS, All About Jazz, and more) combines memorable melodies, striking rhythms, and adventurous improvisations into a voice uniquely his own. 



Joining him are Jacob Pembelton, a lyrical bassist whose artistry is shaped by his work as an award-winning bass luthier, giving him a world-class sensitivity to tone, and Daniel Kelly II, the 2019 Shure Drum Mastery Grand Prize Winner, whose explosive creativity propels the trio to exhilarating heights.



The Quentin Walston Trio’s mission is to celebrate jazz’s roots while joyfully exploring further. Through Walston’s engaging stories and reflections woven into performance, audiences are invited to not only hear jazz but to understand and feel its ongoing story. With more than 220,000 followers worldwide on social media, Quentin brings both artistic excellence and global reach to The Drum Orpheum.
